In an effort to ascertain the divinatory value of the Novenary Chart for competitive events involving two individuals or teams, and to generate a cumulative body of related data, I am currently conducting weekly geomancy readings for European football/soccer tournaments and regular season matches. Regular season matches, in particular, can either end in a win, loss, or draw, allowing additonal insight into how the chart expresses neutral outcomes. The experimental interpretive framework that I am applying to the chart for these readings is as follows:

PositionMeaning
Right ConditionTeam A
Left ConditionTeam B
FulcrumImportant factor influencing the match
Right ProcessFulcrum’s effect on Team A
Left ProcessFulcrum’s effect on Team B
ReturnBasic answer to the query
TernionTBD

A sample of the cumulative data that I have gathered from these readings thus far is listed below using Geomantic Shield Notation, with the addition of plus signs (+) to indicate a figure’s “stable” quality and minus signs (-) to indicate its “mobile” quality. Additionally, the match results that I inaccurately predicted are presented in red to allow for statistical analysis at the conclusion of this study. Lastly, the query posed for each reading was formulated as “Will X win the match against Y on m/d/yyyy?”.

I am posting this information here for research purposes and for those interested in exploring the use of the Novenary Chart for match predictions. However, consideration should be given to the possibility that these results merely reflect (or were significantly influenced by) my current relation to and understanding of the sixteen geomantic figures. As such, the following data may not correspond to other practitioners’ outcomes and should not be taken as authoritative.
