Ouranian Shortform—a stenographic variant of the Linear A script used in Chaos Magick—was created in 2018 by now-deactivated blogger Metapsykhe. Changes to the original script include the omission of the characters’ arrowheads and a modification to the letter H. In their original post, the author notes that the use of this variant is not limited to the Ouranian Barbaric language, and can be employed as a cipher to conceal the contents of one’s magickal journal, or to write out statements of desire if phonetic transcription is possible. The author lastly notes that this script is intended to be written horizontally (presumably from left to right in descending order).
