
I’m still experimenting with pen-and-paperless methods of conducting geomancy readings, and recently devised yet another DIY kit for the novenary chart system. This particular setup requires 56 dimes (enough for all 4,096 possible charts and Ternions), a six-sided die, and a small pouch. I chose the lightest and smallest U.S. coin to reduce the overall weight of the kit. However, rather than a standard polymer die, I opted for a titanium variant (see below) in keeping with the metallic theme of this setup.

As compared to the 24-stick kit presented in the last post, this one can be assembled fairly quickly, is only marginally heavier, just as portable, and will be much less susceptible to damage or breakage. Moreover, this setup allows for a great deal of customization, as nearly any coinage of similar size from any country can be used.
